Weather wise things have been a little bit pants of late and it was freezing over Easter and now it is warmer and the rain has come. In between all of that I have planted the Potatoes and been sowing and pricking out where I can. I have acquired lots of Tagetes from College which I have pricked out into trays awaiting the warm weather. I am hoping they may deter the slugs and snails in a month or so.
I have Sweet peas stuck in a state of leggy seedling and I have planted Squash seeds which are still under the soil. Sammy helped me to sow some Peas today (which I kindly received from another Samuel for my birthday, thanks old buddy Samuel!) Sammy was really chuffed with them once we had placed them in our mini propagator. He pushed every Pea into it's home in the soil and paid a lot of attention to doing it right!
The seed trays are stacking up in the lean to amongst the shoes and I am trying to split some Mint and Parsley from the supermarket to prolong its life too. My friend Kate gave me a lovely tin for my seeds too so that was just the ticket right now to keep everything in order.
Things will pick up but as my Lecturer at College was saying everything is a least two weeks behind and it is the lack of Daffodils that tells us that.
