Sammy said to me last year, "Mummy if we have an apple tree then we won't need to go to Tesco's again". Well if only that were true but I did say I would get him a tree and so I finally have.

Sammy is much better but still has a cough and is weary so he stayed off school for another day. We popped to the plot to plant our apple tree! The area needed a good dig and clear and Sammy was great at finding roots to clear and snails to play with. We dug a hole, filled it with water "Geronimo" Sammy said and pretended to dive in. We planted it, watered it again and put a stone circle round it.

Here's to at least one apple as I promised to send Stan one at my College in thanks for selling the tree to us!
