Weeding and watering all in a day's work

At last Neil feels better and his knee is working properly. Well, tendonitus below the knee a pain but the actual knee is functioning so...........it seems you can't have it all. We went up and everything looks great. We spent about an hour weeding and watering. Trying to give the veg that is coming through a fighting chance. The weeds are so prolific! We pulled up some more radishes that are a great shape and planted some new ones in return. Neil weeded the carrot bed and I did the onions and potatoes again. The potatoes aren't as big as the ones in our garden here, so not sure if they are overwhelmed a bit up the allotment but we'll see what happens now the weeds have gone.

The boys did some fab watering with their elephant watering cans and some awesome fighting inbetween. We went on a bug hunt and Lou sat in the car for a while listening to hip hop and reading his spiderman magazine.....my big nearly 6 boy! I spied lots of poppies particularly in the boys area which has largely been left untouched aside from the potato tyres which are flourishing.

All in all we felt it was a very calming place to be and agreed if the boys weren't with us we would probably stay all day and eve and enjoy a glass of wine or two at our lovely table and chairs donated by Nanny and BB! We left feeling like we can't wait to get back. Now that's got to be  good.

  1. Sounds good to me. Shame I will only see it in the winter. We may just have to escape to the allotment for soup or coco when Iam there Jo.
